Support for Jazz Artists Affected by the
Los Angeles Wildfires
MCG Jazz stands in solidarity with jazz artists and their families affected by the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles. To assist during this challenging time, we have compiled a list of resources to help with relief efforts, financial aid, and rebuilding. The jazz community has always been resilient; together, we can help one another through this.

MCG Jazz Collaborates with Washington Ballet
As a Valentine’s gift to Jazz and Ballet patrons, The Washington Ballet is presenting a world premier program at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts for six performances from February 14 - 18, 2024. Pittsburgh and MCG Jazz will be well represented with Marty Ashby as Music Director and Conductor, as well as Craig Davis Trio, New York Voices, the Smithsonian Jazz Masterworks Orchestra, and more!

Sharon Students Get Schooled In Jazz
"Case Avenue Elementary School students danced in the aisles at ACTS’ performance space in downtown Sharon during a special performance by a Pittsburgh jazz ensemble. Dancing to MCG Jazz School of Swing’s rendition of Stevie Wonder’s “I Wish” was one of third-grader Saige Metro’s favorite parts of the program."
